Laurel was born in Pocatello, Idaho. At age five her family moved to Boise, where she lived until she graduated from Boise High. She moved to San Francisco to go to art school. She returned to Boise to be with her family 25 years later with a successful nursing career, a husband, two kids and 3 dogs in tow. She has been in the medical profession for nearly 20 years, working in emergency, hospital, and clinical settings. When not investigating the best way to care for patients, you can find her with earphones on listening to books while tinkering, without earphones while playing with kids, chasing dogs, or laughing at dad jokes (either her husband’s or her Dad’s).
